Interests and Achievements

Music

I have a great interest in music and have achieved several awards, including ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory, Trinity Guitar Grade 3 and Trinity Piano Grade 2. As well as this I achieved a WEA certificate in Music Technology in 2004. I also regularly play guitar with a band, playing all over Ireland and writing music.

Christian Union

This year in university I have been part of the Christian Union Committee, fulfilling the role of Publicity Secretary. My job involves promotion of the CU and it's events, mainly through our website (uujcu.com) and through flyers and posters. Through this I have learned responsibility and effective communication, as well as how to work as part of a team. It has been demanding on my time but also a very rewarding experience.

Travel

In the past couple of years I have become increasingly interested in international travel. Last summer I spent a month backpacking in Europe, visiting 7 different countries. It is an experience I would love to do again, but perhaps travel further than the European mainland.

Additional Information

I'm an easy-going, friendly person and tend to get on well with those around me. I am motivated and punctual, and do my best in the workplace. I am very aware that my work is a close reflection on myself so I find it important to produce good quality material. With previous employment I have proved myself to be hard working, reliable and honest.
