I am a multimedia designer based in Toronto, Canada. I specialize in web-based projects but am flexible enough to tackle most jobs. My strengths are in good all-round technical knowledge, design and web standards.
I was born and have lived most of my life in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. In 2009 I graduated with a BSc in Interactive Multimedia Design from the University of Ulster. I've been working on the web for over 5 years now.
I was fortunate enough to spend just over a year in San Francisco, California working for a small tourism company with the web marketing team. Living in the heart of the city that is world famous for it's web development industry and it's proximity to Silicon Valley was as great a career start as I could have hoped for. San Francisco is a spectacular city to visit, and even better to live in. Needless to say it was not easy to come back to Northern Ireland!
After graduation, I began work as a designer with an eLearning company in Belfast. I worked mainly with Moodle for a variety of clients to build custom themes for educational institutes and for professional training.
As of 2010, I'm living and working as a designer in downtown Toronto, Ontario with a small web development company. I'm primarily designing themes and assisting in the development for our custom CMS. Canada so far has been awesome. I keep a personal video blog over at my other site.
I've taken on a number of freelance projects over the last few years, and have worked closely with clients to get the best results. I'm a straight talker and clients appreciate that they can talk with me in a friendly, non-jargon way.
I love to travel and have been all over the world. I drove the entire length of the California coast and been all over the US. I've visited Hawaii, the Caribbean, all of Western Europe and South Africa.
I've been known to play a bit of guitar from time to time. I'm jamming with some guys in the Greater Toronto Area at the moment.
